Hallmark carried out a garage demolition and rebuild incorporating an office together with block paved driveway and dropped kerb pavement.
Works involved the demolition of existing structures and design of a new reinforced raft concrete foundation due to the poor soil conditions. 10m3 of concrete was poured over engineered steel reinforcement mesh. This ensured a completely solid base on which to construct the new garage and office. The local building control officer was regularly consulted to ensure works were carried out in accordance with legislation. Designs were submitted to Bournemouth Borough Council to ensure the structure met the requirements of the planning department.
The driveway was thoroughly prepared with MOT Type 1 sub-base, soakaway and drainage installed. 80m2 of block paving was then laid in less than a day.
The office section of the garage structure was fully fitted out including damp proof membrane, floor insulation under screed, fire proof studwork partition, upvc French doors and all the necessary electrical supplies.
The site of a further garage structure within the rear garden was then demolished and a new raised timber decking area installed to complete the project.
